Domino simulates the Italian energy system on an hourly
basis in order to update strategies as soon as new data is

P&L computation and reporting
Domino has been designed to be a fully integrated
service for the activities of trading and optimization of a
differentiated portfolio consisting of both consumption and
production units.
Given an hourly load forecast curve for each dispatching unit,
Domino builds an optimal strategy on every Intraday
Market in order to close deal at the best available price.
The workflow is lean and consists in 4 different steps:
Data Acquisition:
the hourly load forecast curve can be acquired manually by a file
upload on the dashboard or automatically through the provided
gateway.
Strategy Building:
few minutes before the closing of the Day-Ahead market, the optimal
trading strategy is elaborated by the mathematical engine.
Strategy Updating:
before every gate closure of the Intraday markets, the optimal
strategy is recalculated to consider any changes in the market
conditions or in the load forecast.
Statistics and Reporting:
at the end of the day it is possible to access the dashboard
monitor and visualize the actual volumes exchanged and the P&L of
